Strengthening Colorado’s Fire Service: Understanding Needs, Finding Solutions
Description
In this interactive workshop, we will review the 2026 Fire Service Needs Assessment and by engaging with the audience, validate the responses. The goal is to ensure we understand the issues facing Colorado’s Fire Service. Then we will turn our attention to the work of the Colorado Fire Commission to address these needs as they pertain to departments of all sizes including smaller, rural departments and those that support them. We will again engage the audience in a facilitated discussion on opportunities to meet these needs. This session will be used to inform the work of the Colorado Fire Commission moving forward as we all put our heads together to find workable solutions to Colorado’s changing fire service landscape.
