Lane is a Lieutenant with the Denver Fire Department with over 20 years of experience in the fire service. As a firefighter Lane spent time on Engine 5, Truck 12 and in the Arson unit. After promoting to Lieutenant Lane spent over three years roving District 6 before going to the busiest firefighting apparatus in the city, Engine 08. Lane spent over two years at E08 before moving to T12 where he is currently assigned. At Engine 08 Lane fell in love with the demands of a fast paced engine company and the way that everyone pushed each other to be the best at their craft. On Truck 12 Lane is active with different groups on the job and is currently one of the leads in developing a department wide mentorship program that will focus on all members regardless of rank. Lane’s crew helps to run the department’s acquired structure program and his members are always looking for opportunities to help other crews get out and train.

Lane and his wife Becca have been together almost as long as he has been a firefighter and they have two sons that keep him busy on his days away from the firehouse.
