Jim Pauley is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Brighton Fire Rescue District. He has over 20 years of accounting and auditing experience and a wealth of knowledge about governmental accounting standards. Pauley has helped manage the financial growth of Brighton Fire Rescue District as it has expanded into emergency medical response and built a $15M training center. Pauley helps develop and manage the District’s annual operating budget of over $28M.

Before joining the District in 2022, Pauley worked in public accounting providing auditing and accounting services to a variety of special districts in Colorado, including fire districts and related emergency response services. In addition, Pauley has served on the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations in the community.
