The implementation of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code marked an important accomplishment in creating wildfire resiliency. The next step in Colorado’s evolution will be preventing wildfire-related ignition in the existing built environment. The Wildfire Prepared Home standard developed by IBHS provides a pathway to achieving this goal.
